Born and raised on the tough city streets of Manhattan's Inwood section, Chauncé -- currently residing in Northern NJ -- has seen and done it all, or has at least tried. Before he became the editor for the New Jersey-based Steppin' Out Magazine, Chauncé worked odd jobs such as bartender, ditch digger, male stripper, musician, photographer, artist, football coach and school teacher, and along the way earned a B.A. in Journalism from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ.
Over the last decade, Chauncé built a reputation of an international journalist, who tells it like it is and shows a side of celebs rarely ever seen. Chauncé's wit, charm and charismatic personality allow those around him to feel as if they were with a good old friend, making his interviews unlike any others. His readers are treated to a weekly celebrity feature -- sometimes funny, sometimes heartwarming, sometimes controversial -- but always consuming.
"I don't believe in fluff interviews," says Chauncé, "If the reader doesn't walk away feeling moved or, at the very least entertained, then my time as well as the celebrity's has been wasted, not to mention the reader's." Once asked how he has been able to obtain so many in-depth interviews, Chauncé replied, "I guess it's just the luck of the Irish.
